Womb Healing and Understanding Painful Periods

Leslie Ellis

Our periods are NOT meant to be painful! Each month, as we experience our cycle, it’s a sacred time for shedding not just physical layers but also emotional and ancestral traumas. Painful periods are your body’s way of communicating, signaling that deeper healing is necessary.

Understanding the Connection

As I seek to learn all I can about our womb space, I’ve discovered that holding onto trauma and emotional tensions in our womb can significantly impact our period health. Many of us are raised with strained relationships with our cycles, often ignoring the vital need for womb healing and compassion.

Exploring a natural and spiritual approach to menstrual pain relief opened my eyes to the emotional disconnect I had with my natural cycle. I realized my body was holding onto emotional tension rooted in experiences and traumas directly connected to my womb.

I’ve always experienced painful periods, just like many of you. They would take me out for days, despite relying on birth control and pain pills that only masked the pain. This was a practice in resistance. However, once I embarked on my womb healing journey, I began to notice profound changes. The PMS symptoms, the pain, the heavy bleeding—all started to transform. I learned that my womb needed self-compassion, kindness, and nurturing.

During a recent healing session with a client, she discovered she was holding significant traumas from her lineage. With the intention to release these burdens and harmonize her masculine and feminine energies, she embraced the healing process. I anticipated her period would be heavier this month, and it was, as releasing stored trauma often manifests physically. She also experienced more blood clots than usual. Blood clots can be seen as remnants of emotional pain, making space for new energy and healing. She shared that although there was more blood clots than usual, her pain was significantly reduced compared to previous cycles.

The Path to Healing

Womb healing practices can support us in transforming this cycle into one of empowerment, release, and rebirth. It’s essential to honor and listen to our bodies during this time. When we acknowledge the pain, we can begin to understand its root causes and initiate healing.

If you’re feeling called to explore womb healing further, I invite you to join me on this transformative journey. Together, we can break the cycles and create a new narrative around our periods—one that celebrates healing, balance, and the beauty of being a woman.

FAQ: Well, Can I Just Book a Regular Reiki Session?

While a regular Reiki session is fantastic for healing the body as a whole, focusing on the auric field, meridians, and chakras, it does not specifically emphasize the womb area. Regular Reiki helps release energetic blockages, alleviate chronic pain, ease anxiety, and raise your vibration among many other benefits.

However, if you’re looking to address specific traumas stored within your womb, I recommend a dedicated womb healing session. Womb Reiki specifically targets this area, allowing for deeper healing and a focused approach to release emotional tension and trauma. This is designed to help you reconnect with your body and facilitate profound transformation.

Let’s honor our bodies and all they have to say. Together, we can embrace this sacred journey of healing.

With love and healing,

Leslie
